About Me,

Penny Rondell grew up in rural Norfolk. Taking inspiration from the calmness and tranquil beauty of the local environment, she spent many hours sketching whilst out and about. 

The commitment to replicate a true likeness led to early experimentation with oils, allowing for enhanced texture and depth of colour.  

Continuing to paint into adult life whilst raising a family, Penny's passion for realism shifted towards portraiture. Her intention is to capture the true essence and spirit of the subject.

In order to reach a higher level of realism, Penny has moved her preferred medium to pastels in more recent years.

Penny is available for commissions, local art exhibitions, delivery of fine art workshops and private lessons in portraiture.
